Dr. Matthew Ruggles, DDS, is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon at Mynsberge, Ruggles & Yang Oral Surgery in Greenbrae, California. He proudly carries on a long-standing tradition of providing exceptional surgical care while ensuring every patient has a comfortable and positive experience.

Serving patients throughout Marin County, including San Rafael, Mill Valley, Larkspur, and Corte Madera, Dr. Ruggles combines advanced surgical training with a warm, approachable style that puts patients at ease.

Dr. Ruggles was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he was brought up by his parents, Amarilis and Jack Ruggles. Growing up, he developed a wide range of interests, including music, sports, and science.

While attending the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Honors College, he studied business and science and played in a band — blending creativity with analytical thinking. His passion for learning and patient care led him to pursue dentistry at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco, where he quickly fell in love with the Bay Area.

After completing his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency in Indianapolis, Dr. Ruggles returned to Northern California to join Dr. Mynsberge in private practice. He has greatly enjoyed serving patients in Marin and collaborating with outstanding local dental professionals.

Outside the office, Dr. Ruggles enjoys traveling, exploring California’s outdoors, and spending time with his wife Alissa and their son Arden.
