Oral Pathology Greenbrae CA
Like any area of our body, the soft and hard tissues of our oral cavity and jaws have the potential to give rise to thousands of different types of pathological lesions or disease processes. The types of pathological lesions that occur on the tongue, floor of mouth, roof of mouth, cheeks, gums, jaws, and sinuses are very unique and specific to these regions, and oral and maxillofacial surgeons, such as Drs. Mynsberge and Ruggles, are the specialists best equipped with the knowledge and skills to evaluate, diagnose, and treat these disease processes.
Often times, your dentist may notice something abnormal during a routine check-up or on standard screening x-rays, and suggest that you see us for an evaluation and possible biopsy. Drs. Mynsberge and Ruggles realize that the mere mention of the word “biopsy” can instill fear and anxiety, as one’s thoughts typically start racing about the worst possibilities. To put your mind at ease, the overwhelmingly vast majority of abnormal lesions that occur in the mouth and jaws are benign and not cancerous, though prompt consultation is still advisable. While not all abnormal growths require a biopsy, even benign lesions may require one to confirm a diagnosis and determine the need for further monitoring or treatment. Fortunately, nearly all biopsies are relatively minor procedures that can be performed in the office under various levels of anesthesia, including IV sedation if desired, to maximize comfort and alleviate anxiety.
Dr. Mynsberge and Dr. Ruggles are extremely knowledgeable and experienced in this field of expertise, and all tissues biopsied are submitted to a nationally renowned and board certified oral and maxillofacial pathologist for detailed microscopic examination and diagnosis.

First of all, great guy and enjoyed meeting him. Secondly, he conferred with my regular dentist and my root canal specialist and I received a thoroughly discussed agenda with good reasons. So, no god complex that some surgeons seem to convey. And lastly, excellent surgeon. I'm 24 hours after having 4 cysts removed and feel fine. Maybe the worst is yet to come but I have meds and instructions so I feel good about recovery. Look no further than this surgeon for this type of procedure. Office staff was friendly and competent which can be necessary for minor follow through.

Dr. Mynsberge and his staff are extraordinary. The level of kindness, expertise, professionalism, knowledge and care seem like they would be impossible to replicate anywhere. This doctor is remarkable in all respects. I (senior citizen) had a difficult procedure for a complicated diagnosis. Dr. Mynsberge and team were amazing. I recommend them with all my heart and health. If other health providers were this good, the world would be an amazing place. It is an honor to be a patient there.

Dr. Mynsberge recently performed a biopsy on a cyst in my jaw area. He was extremely communicative about the whole process, listening attentively and answering all questions thoroughly; he is a very caring person with a warm & reassuring bedside manner - not easy to find anymore in the health field. I felt very safe and at ease in his care. Whenever I've had questions about anything he's encouraged me to email him and always gives a prompt and thorough reply. As I've moved forward looking for an oral surgeon who can take on my next surgery, Dr. Mynsberge has encouraged me to keep him informed of my progress and to let him know if I need his assistance with anything. Dr. Mynsberge goes above and beyond the call of duty, and is not only an excellent dentist/oral surgeon, but a caring one too. His staff was also very helpful, professional, and communicative, helping me navigate the insurance maze, etc. I highly, highly recommend Dr. Mynsberge!
